RFID Based Toll Collection System Using Arduino
Manual toll collection causes congestion and revenue leakage. This project implements automated RFID toll collection similar to FASTag. Each vehicle has a unique RFID card linked to a prepaid account. When approaching the toll booth, the MFRC522 RFID reader scans the tag. Arduino looks up the balance, deducts the toll, displays transaction on LCD. A servo motor actuates the boom barrier gate. Insufficient balance keeps gate closed with buzzer alert directing to manual lane.
