India's handicraft heritage needs better digital platforms. This project creates a full-featured e-commerce marketplace for handicraft products. Artisans can register, create profiles, and list products. Buyers browse by category, use search/filters, add to cart, and complete purchases through payment gateway. Admin manages seller approvals and order fulfillment. Responsive design for mobile shopping.

PHP and MySQL Backend

PHP handles all server-side logic including user authentication, product management, cart operations, order processing, and payment integration. MySQL database is designed with normalized tables for products, categories, users (buyers and sellers), orders, payments, and reviews. The multi-vendor architecture uses role-based access control to give each artisan their own dashboard.

Shopping Cart and Checkout

AJAX/jQuery powers the dynamic shopping cart with real-time updates without page reload. Users can add/remove products, update quantities, and see running totals instantly. The checkout process integrates with payment gateways like Razorpay and Instamojo, supporting credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and net banking. Order confirmation is sent via email.

Multi-Vendor Marketplace

This platform follows a multi-vendor model supporting multiple artisan sellers.
Key multi-vendor features:

• Artisan registration with shop profile and portfolio creation.
• Individual product and inventory management dashboards.
• Admin approval workflow for new seller accounts and products.
