Welcome to Kerala Project Center.
Conventional automotive suspensions employ coil springs or leaf springs for elastic energy storage. This alternative architecture explores a springless suspension concept where bevel gear differentials convert vertical wheel displacement into rotational energy stored in a flywheel or dissipated through regenerative means. The kinematic linkage ensures that opposite wheels maintain correlated motion consistent with anti-roll objectives. Gear tooth profiles are designed to minimize backlash and noise while transmitting the high shock loads characteristic of road irregularities. The project evaluates ride comfort metrics—peak acceleration transmissibility and suspension travel utilization—against ISO 2631 vibration exposure standards through multibody dynamics simulation.
