In medical emergencies, finding a compatible blood donor within the critical golden hour can mean the difference between life and death — yet donor information remains scattered and inaccessible. This project creates a life-saving blood donor and blood bank locator platform that connects patients, donors, and blood banks in real time. The system enables three user journeys: Donors register with blood group, location, availability status, and last-donation date (with automatic eligibility cooldown enforcement); Recipients and patients search for matching donors and nearby blood banks filtered by blood group and proximity; and Blood banks manage live inventory counts for each blood group. Powerful search features include geolocation-based donor discovery, blood-group compatibility matching, emergency SOS broadcast to all eligible donors within a radius, and direct contact functionality. Additional features include donation history tracking, certificates for donors, blood request notifications, and admin dashboards for inventory analytics. Implemented as a web application (Django/Flask) with GPS integration and a MySQL database, this project combines social impact with strong technical depth — an ideal web development project for final-year students and health-tech developers.
