Connected and autonomous vehicles generate massive streams of identity and telemetry data that must be exchanged securely with infrastructure, insurers, and service providers — yet centralized systems are vulnerable to tampering, spoofing, and privacy breaches. This project builds a decentralized vehicular trust framework that combines blockchain technology with oracle mechanisms. The system registers each vehicle's identity as a smart-contract-anchored digital credential, while blockchain oracles securely feed off-chain data — GPS position, sensor readings, insurance status, and inspection records — onto the chain with cryptographic attestations. Zero-knowledge-style selective disclosure allows vehicles to prove specific attributes (e.g., valid license, clean inspection) without revealing full identity, preserving privacy. Immutable on-chain records enable tamper-proof accident reporting, stolen-vehicle verification, and automated insurance claim triggering through smart contracts. Implemented with Ethereum/Hyperledger Fabric, Solidity smart contracts, Web3.py, and an IoT device simulator, the prototype includes a fleet dashboard and mobile demonstration app. This is a forward-looking blockchain IoT project for students and researchers in V2X security and smart transportation solutions.
