Welcome to Kerala Project Center.
Urban subterranean utility vaults—housing gas pipelines, sewage lines, and electrical conduits—present confined-space hazards including toxic gas buildup, flooding, and undetected leaks. This monitoring platform deploys a compact inspection robot that traverses the exterior of metallic pipes using magnetic adhesion tracks, continuously sampling atmospheric composition via an electrochemical gas sensor array. The onboard microcontroller fuses gas concentration readings with GPS coordinates and transmits geotagged alert packets to a cloud-based supervisory dashboard through IoT telemetry. When methane or hydrogen sulfide levels exceed programmable thresholds, the system logs the leak location, timestamps the event, and pushes notifications to maintenance personnel. The robotic approach eliminates the need for distributed fixed-sensor arrays along every pipe segment, substantially reducing deployment cost while maintaining continuous surveillance coverage.
